What We Do
What Does Professional Water Heater Replacement Include?
A replacement is a small installation project with the old heater's removal built in — not a swap performed in a hurry:
- Demand sizing from your household. People, bathrooms, fixtures, and January inlet water counted together — the new tank earns its gallons honestly.
- Fuel and venting review. Gas venting inspected and corrected; electric capacity confirmed. A new heater on a bad vent is an old problem with a warranty.
- Expansion and discharge made current. Thermal expansion handled properly for closed systems — increasingly common with town check valves — and the T&P discharge piped to a safe ending.
- Pan, drain, and placement care. Drain pans where floors matter, valves that will still turn in a decade, and clearances that let the next service happen without gymnastics.
- Old unit removed. Drained, disconnected, and hauled out — the floor left empty of everything except the new heater and its paperwork.
- Startup proof and orientation. The new heater run through a full cycle, every joint watched dry, and its controls, valve, and flush rhythm explained before we leave.
Not sure the tank is really finished? The tests live on the water heater repair page. Planning hot water for a space that never had it is water heater installation — a different job with a similar toolbox.
